Between 700 and 1600 meters above sealevel you will find in the east the Pustertal of Southtyrol, where the massive mountains of the "Drei Zinnen" and the Sextner Dolomites are. The "Gustav-Mahler-Musicweek" must be a well known term for culturlovers. The whole year round there are many sportposibilities: mountainclimbing, hiking, mountainbiking, parapenting, wild water rafting - and in the winter you can go through the white paradise of skiarea Kronplatz, the most famous and modern skiarea of the Dolomites.
