Our guests can enjoy a variety of sparking delights for their palate and hot specialities in the exclusive South Tyrolean Fire Brigade HOTEL in Gais ( Italy ).
Our family built the hotel in 1956 and has, since then, welcomed many guests. Yet, our father being a passionate collector of fire brigade helmets, we have decided to tread completely new paths.
At present, both, admirer of the fire brigade and passionates to be, can admire the modifications our house underwent in 2006.
Coulinary delight
We are proud to present our renowned and appreciated “Burgfrieden Cuisine”, which stands under the direction of Chef Franz-Josef Mairhofer.
Our carefully created menu is topped off with delicacies such as “Fire Wall”, “Sparking Soup” or “ Striped Firebug ” – just what our guests expect of a true “fire Brigade Hotel”. We serve the draught beer “Pustertaler Freiheit”.
Meet other guests and spend a nice evening at our hotel bar or at the „Zenz-Egge“, a part of the bar, dedicated to our last grandfather and founder of the hotel, Vinzenz. Or relax in the „Sissi-Stube“ next to the open fireplace, surrounded by many memorabilia of Empress Elisabeth of Austria .
Enjoy yourself
Round off a nice evening with music and dancing in our „Florianikeller“, where our popular Duo entertains our guests with music. We gladly organise dancing evenings.
In autumn: traditional gathering “Törggelen” with buffet!
Our feel good rooms are newly furnished brandnew and are equipped with bathroom/shower, WC, Satellite-TV, radio, telephone and balcony.
Fire Brigade Helmets MUSEUM
Over 700 unique Fire Brigade Helmets from all over the world and different periods in the new Fire Brigade Helmets Museum in the Hotel Burgfrieden on over 200m˛ can be visited.
